Rites Held Here For Miss Mary Kramer
Funeral rites were held in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Atkinson Thursday morning for Miss Mary Kramer, 78, who spent a lifetime serving as housekeeper for priests in many Catholic parishes in Nebraska.

Miss Kramer died Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Long Pine where for the past three years she has been employed as housekeeper by Father Barry. She had been a patient in the Barrett hospital about a month proceeding her death.

The Rev. Grobal, retired priest from Long Pine, read the 10 o’clock service here yesterday.

Burial was in St Joseph cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Joe Kramer, John Kramer, Carl Bernt, all of Stuart, and Harold Grof, Aloius Wewed and Conrad Straka of Atkinson

Miss Kramer was born in Bohemia about 1872. She came to the United States with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Kramer, when she was a small girl. She devoted her life to the duties of housekeeping for priests.

During temporary periods of unemployment, Miss Kramer made her home in Atkinson with the Misses Ella and Mabelle Bauman.

She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Albert Timmermans who lives in Missouri, two half-brothers, John Kramer, Genoa, Neb., and Mike Kramer, Glendo, Wyo., and many relatives and friends in this vicinity.

Mrs. Albert Timmermans and John Kramer were among those who came here to attend the funeral.
